Experience

Athenas Agricola

Aug 2024 – Present

On-site

IT Analyst (Developer)

  • Spearheaded the migration of a desktop QGIS plugin to a web platform using React, Vite, and @arcgis/sdk, eliminating desktop software dependency and enabling browser-based geospatial analysis for multi-user workflows.
  • Expanded plugin capabilities by integrating satellite imagery visualization (True Color and NDVI) via Python, PyQGIS, and PostGIS, accelerating crop health analysis directly within existing GIS environments.
  • Automated recurring business reporting workflows by replacing manual spreadsheets with Power Query, eliminating repetitive operational tasks and ensuring 100% data consistency across reports.

On-site

IT Intern

  • Developed a custom QGIS plugin adopted by 10+ agricultural companies, streamlining soil sampling, statistical analysis, and field route generation using Python, PyQGIS, and PostGIS.
  • Enhanced internal application reliability and database performance using Python and PostgreSQL, significantly reducing production bugs for consulting teams and client-facing systems.
  • Standardized technical knowledge by authoring comprehensive architecture and system documentation, accelerating onboarding time for new engineering team members.

On-site

IT Apprentice

  • Built a centralized internal knowledge platform from scratch using Django and Python, establishing a single source of truth for development and consulting teams.
  • Partnered with cross-functional IT and consulting teams to identify workflow bottlenecks, implementing Python automation scripts that reduced manual data-entry effort.
  • Contributed reusable Python components and internal tools, strengthening core engineering practices and accelerating subsequent product development phases.

Projects

Full Stack

TypeScript, React 19, Turso, Argon2, Next.JSPortfólio Self-Hosted

My portfolio is a small CMS: the home page and project pages come from an API that I edit through an admin panel. When cold starts on the free API host started showing visitors a dark screen, I moved the frontend from a Vite SPA to Next.js with Incremental Static Regeneration. Visitors now get cached, fully rendered pages even while the API sleeps, at no extra hosting cost.

Turned a free-tier cold start that showed visitors a dark screen into instantly served cached pages, without paying for an always-on server.

React 19, Fastify 5, Redis, Trigger.dev, CASL, PostgreSQLVerbum — Catholic Bible Study Platform

Verbum is a Catholic study platform that puts the Bible, the daily liturgy, Laudes, the Catechism and personal notes in one workspace. It is a React app with a Fastify API, PostgreSQL, Redis and a nightly Trigger.dev worker that prepares each day's content. The post covers the decisions behind it: parsing liturgical references, keeping search in Postgres, making the nightly jobs reliable and treating reading history as sensitive data.

Turned three scattered morning habits (a Bible app, a liturgy website and loose notes) into one study workspace that prepares itself every night.

Python, PyQt5, Google Gemini API, MarkdownPyPost — AI Blog Post Generator

A desktop app that generates SEO-optimized blog posts from a subject and a set of keywords, using Google Gemini AI and exporting the result directly to Markdown, HTML, or plain text.

Turned blog post drafting from a blank-page problem into a one-click operation.
